Itinerary

Welcome on board, embarkation from 4.00 pm.

After breakfast the first cycle tour from Saarburg to Saar river bend starts where the river loops back by almost 360°. Continue to Igeler column, Wasserbillig in Luxemburg. In the afternoon you reach Trier or Konz, where the boat is waiting for you. Join the guided city tour of Trier (facultative). (cycle tour approx. 30-40 km)

 

Bike Tour Fehnroute

After breakfast you cycle to Mehring. You cycle through a wonderful moselle landscape, which is one of the most beautiful landscape of the world. Even the romans known the region along the moselle, so they built a lot of impressive architecture here. (cycle tour approx. 25-35 km)

A rather short tour to Berkastel-Kues where you should enjoy the flair of the medieval market square surrounded by half-timbered houses. In the afternoon visit of the largest wine-grower cooperation along the Moselle (facultative). (cycle tour approx. 50 km)

 

Idyllic Traben Trarbach and the largest wine-grower town of the area „Zell“ is waiting. (cycle tour approx. 45 km)

Perfectly preserved historic old town of Beilstein the „Sleeping Beauty on Moselle“. Join the boat again in Cochem with fortress and quaint half-timbered houses. (cycle tour approx. 35 km)

 

Cycle tour into Eltztal valley where we walk up to the fortress. In Alken – one of the oldest towns on Moselle – join the boat again, transfer to Koblenz. (cycle tour approx. 30 km)

After breakfast the tour is completed, say farewell and start your joureny home or stay for some extra days.

 

The route

Very good cycle paths, mostly with asphalted or metalled surface. No climbs worth mentioning. Therefore this tour is perfectly suited for the lesser fit cyclists.

Eine schöne Reise zur Mosel
Sehr gut organisierte und erlebnisreiche Woche, das Team an Bord ist gut organisiert und freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Der Koch ist ein Meister seines Fachs. das Schiff MS Patria ist zwar alt aber gut gepflegt, die Kabinen sind sauber, jeden Tag Reinigung, und obwohl sehr klein man kann gut schlafen.

Spannende Kombi
Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Crews und die Reiseleiter beider Schiffe sind sensationell. Man wird gut vorbereitet. Die Ausstattung der Schiffe war wie beschrieben.
