Welcome to Paris, the Ville Lumière! Let’s start our amazing journey to London!
Paris and London are connected by this picturesque historic route from Notre-Dame Cathedral to Westminster Abbey. Along the way take in a mosaic of landscapes scattered with castles, cathedrals and charming villages.
From the French capital to the port town of Dieppe, cycle the vibrant countryside of the Epte Valley, down the wooded banks of the River Seine where Monet painted his water lilies, and through beautiful Vexin Français Nature Park in the Oise Valley. Explore the region of Normandy as you cycle converted railways and quiet country roads. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as you reach Dieppe overlooking the English Channel.
A 4-hour ferry crossing takes you to the port city of Newhaven England. From here cycle along the rugged cliffs of South Downs to Brighton and across the rolling hills of Sussex. The parks and bike paths of the beautiful English countryside mark the last stage of our journey to the cosmopolitan heart of London.

Individual arrival in Paris and hotel check in.

The welcome briefing will start at 08:30 am. Today is a relax cycle trip along the canal St. Martin to the "Parc des Impressionistes", a reproduction of the garden of Claude Monet in Giverny. You leave Paris on almost traffic free roads along the river Seine and canals. Your aim is Cergy.

Your route leads through the Normandy to the small village Gisors with the old castle ruin, where according to legend the treasure of the temple knights is hidden. It is possilbe to take the train from Chers.

In the morning continue your ride through the rich countryside and quaint villages of the Epte Valley. See the beautiful Abbey in Saint-Germer-de-fly, stop for lunch in a typical French village, cool off as you dip your toes in the crisp clean natural spring waters of Haussez. The historic Forges-les-Eaux, once a spa retreat established in the XVI century, is your destination.

A converted rails-to-trails bike path is your stress-free route to Dieppe. The landscape along this 48km stage is dotted with thriving farms and castles. The castles, such as Mesnières-en-Bray and Arques-la-Bataille, serve as a reminder of the France’s rich history. Along the way we pass through of Neufchatel-en-Bray, famous for its namesake soft cheese. Try a sample and hear the romantic legend of its heart-shaped packaging. 

After a short cycle trip through the beautiful village Dieppe at 12:30 your ferry start. Via ferry to Newhaven in England. Afterwards you cycle through the beautiful landscape to Brighton.

You take the train to Redhill and cycle from there in the direction of London. The big awesome city awaits you!

After breakfast the tour ends.

The route

Easy to moderate heavy! In London you cycle on bike ways, small roads, through parks and alongside a small river. In Great Britain you driving on the left! From London to Newhaven you cycle on small roads and bike path through, you have to negotiate a few gradients. From Dieppe to Forges-les-Eaux it is mainly easy to cycle on tarred bike path like the Voie Verte –  it is a former railway train path. Until Maisons-Laffitte you drive on small roads with low traffic and through a slightly hilly terrain. In Paris you cycle on bike path along tue Canal St. Denis and alongside the river Seine. Short distance way leads along high traffic streets.

How to get there!

By train: Arrival from North- and West-Germany via Cologne to „Gare du Nord“. Arrival from South-Germany via Frankfurt/Straßbourg to „Gare de l´Est.“ The starting hotel is near of both central station.

By plane: Airport „Charles de Gaulle“. Direct connection by train or metro (RER) to „Gare du Nord“.

By car: Parking area in a public car park near the startin hotel. Please make the reservation of by you own www.parkingsdeparis.com. In the hotegarage for 20,-€/ day.


By train:  From London „St. Pancras International“ with the Eurostar in 2.5 h to Paris station „Gare du Nord“.

By plane: Ryanair from airport Stansted (45 minutes away from railway station „Liverpool St“.) or Lufthansa from aiport Heathrow (15 minutes away from railway station „Paddington“).

Sehr tolle Tour!
Ausgezeichnete Routenwahl, super App! Fahrräder für die Strecke nicht immer geeignet - schöne Waldwege aber ungefedertes Rad. Hotels immer angenehm.

Super organisierte Tour von Paris nach London
Die Tour hat weit mehr zu bieten als "nur" Paris und London: Tolle abwechslungsreiche Landschaften, nette und entspannte Orte, viele Highlights unterwegs wie das Schloss von Maisons-Laffitte, die Abtei von Saint-Germer-de-Fly, Neufchâtel (unbedingt den gleichnamigen Käse probieren!), der Hafen von Dieppe, die Kreidefelsen von Brighton oder die vielen schönen Parks im Londoner Umland. Alles war super organisiert, das Fahren mit der App total unkompliziert (wegen des recht hohen Akku-Verbrauchs empfiehlt sich allerdings die Mitnahme einer Powerbank). Die Anstiege waren auch ohne E-Bike gut machbar, die Etappen haben ebenfalls gut gepasst. Einziges Manko: Im August hatten in Frankreich viele Restaurants wegen Urlaub geschlossen. Wir sind aber trotzdem immer satt geworden :-)

abenteuerlich und interessant
Eine erlebnisreiche, abenteuerliche Tour, die aufgrund der auf manchen Strecken notwendigen vielen Richtungsänderungen ein gewisses Konzentrationsvermögen und auch Aufmerksamkeit erfordert.
