Four days through East Frisia
Welcome briefing in the afternoon; afterwards you receive your rental bikes. You have enough time to discover Emden with its harbour.
Bicycle tour to picturesque fisher village Greetsiel, the biggest crab-fisher port of Weser-Ems region. Don’t pass by without having a couple of shrimps. Past the bay of Ley – where you might be lucky to spot seals – you cycle to Norden.
The wide landscape of East Friesland dominates the route today. You pass Dornum, with the loveliest moated castle in the east of Friesland. Accomnodation in Wittmund.
Cycle on nice bikepaths to Aurich, which was once one of the East-Frisian chief towns. The former main town has a nice historic city. Follow the windings of the Ems-Jade-Canal and arrive safely on country lanes almost without car-traffic to Emden. Individual departure or extended stay.
The route
Easy - all routes are completely flat! You cycle mainly on asphalted or plastered country lanes, sometimes on minor roads. This tour is adequate for beginners or bike groups. All ferries are included in the price.
