Bremen - Cuxhaven - "Old Land" - Worpswede - Bremen

The far sky of the north and the tide is accompanying you between river Elbe and river Weser. You cycle along picturesque villages and international harbour cities, through green lowlands, along the coast and through moor lands. You follow streams and canals which are leading you through formed landscape. The route directs you in parts along the “new” bike path from Hamburg to Bremen.

Itinerary

Welcome briefing and distribution of rental bikes. Discover the historic old city of Bremen.

Follow the Weser bike path in direction North through Lemwerder till you reach Elsfleth.

Brake, Nordenham and on with the "Blexen" ferry to Bremerhaven with spacious habour.

Enjoy the colourful and lively impressions on your bike route today. You cycle on asphalted roads through the land of Wursten before you reach Cuxhaven, the well-known harbour city.

Bicycle tour into the heartland. Along small roads you reach the health resort Bad Bederkesa with thermae. A nice Lake makes sure that you will have a refreshing bath after your bike tour.

Via Hechthausen and Himmelpforten along the river Oste to 1000-year-old city Stade. Visit the historic town hall, the old harbour and the churches of St. Cosmae and St. Wilhadi.

Manors and farm houses are accompanying you on your way to the city of Jork. You should stroll through the city and visit the half-timbered houses and the town hall. Your overnight stay is in Buxtehude which is famous as tale and muse village.

Enjoy the pleasures of cycling on the new bike path between Hamburg and Bremen where you pass the villages of Hollenstedt and Sittensen before you reach Zeven.

Moor, moraine, forest, heath, dune and pastures: The wide landscape is accompanying you to the romantic village of Worpswede, which is homeland for many painters, sculptors and musicians. You can continue by bike or moor express (every Saturday and Sunday, about € 12 per person, bike included) to Bremen. You depart from Bremen in the late afternoon.

The route

The routes lead through flat and slightly hilly terrain. You cycle on asphalted or paved roads, side roads and bike paths. This tour is adequate for beginners or bike groups.

Eine abwechslungsreiche Tour
Im Anschluss an den Weserradweg bin ich nahtlos auf der Hanse Tour unterwegs gewesen. Ist ideal zim Kombinieren. 2018 habe ich diese Strecke schon einmal befahren. Hat mir fast noch besser gefallen; natürlich spielte auch das tolle Wetter mit. Due Tour ist abwechslungsreich. Dank der durch Rückenwind gekennzeichneten Wege kommt man auch durch Landschaften und Winkel in Ortschaften, die man mit dem Auto so nicht zu sehen bekommt. Die Hotels waren allesamt super inkl. reichhaltigen Frühstückbuffets. Der Service ubd Gepäcktransport durch Rückwnwind klappte reibungslos. Speziell schätzte ich das Ausgangshotel Best Western Post wegen seiner Lage direkt ggü. des Bahnhofs. Kann Rückenwind vorbehaltlos empfehlen.

Empfehlenswerte Reise
Highlights der Reise waren die Städte Bremen, Bremerhaven und Cuxhaven. Aber auch die Städtchen Stade und Buxtehude sind einen Besuch wert. Die Strecke ist auch für nicht geübte Radfahrer gut zu bewältigen, da es kaum Anstiege gibt.

Hanse Rundtour
Schöne abwechslungsreiche Strecke, gute Hotels, Alles gut geklappt. Gefremdelt haben wir mit der Tourenbeschreibung im Spiralhefter, das kann Bikeline besser (oder man ist es eben gewohnt). Ohne gpx-Tracks wäre die Navigation umständlich geworden.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden
Die Reise war echt Klasse. Die Strecke, die Hotels, alles war super. Allerdings könnte man unserer Meinung nach Worpswede auslassen, ist nur eine großer Name.

Vielseitige Rundtour durch Hansestädte
Wir haben eine sehr schöne Tour duch einige Hansestädte im Norden erlebt. Wir haben inzwischen die 5. Rückenwind Tour absolviert. Auch diesmal war die Reisevorbereitung super. Die Unterlagen sind sehr hilfreich. Der rote Rückenwind Pfeil hat uns ab Cuxhaven den Weg gezeigt. Es ist das Orientieren nach Zeichen, was uns so an dieser Art von Touren gefällt. Ein wenig wie "Schnitzeljagd". Die Hotels waren alle unterschiedlich gut. Ein wenig aus der Zeit gefallen war das "Drei Linden" in Stade. Absolut Spitze fanden wir das "an der Linah" in Buxtehude und das "Bösenhof" in Bad Bederkesa. Phantastische Eindrücke vom Überseehafen ind Bremerhaven, dem Alten Land, dem Elbestrand, der wunderschönen Altstadt von Stade, dem Fischereihafen in Bremerhaven und natürlich Worpswede konnten wir sammeln. Auch die Betreuung von Rückenwind war perfekt. Wir erhielen am Anreisetag eine sehr freundliche und nützliche Einweisung mit vielen Tips.

Eine durchwachsene Tour.....
Wir (4 Radlerinnen) hatten diese Tour mit großer Vorfreude angetreten. Leider wurde bereits vor der ersten Etappe eine Mitradlerin krank. Durch Ihre sehr kompetente und schnelle Hilfe konnte unsere Tour dann trotzdem noch starten. Vielen Dank dafür. Die gebuchten Hotels waren alle top. Die ersten Etappen bis Otternbach verdienen 5 Sterne. Das waren wundervolle Erlebnisse. Von Otternbach bis Stade und von Buxtehude bis Worpswede waren die Wege leider sehr eintönig. Wir radelten fast nur durch Maisfelder und uns begleitete stets ein intensiver Geruch nach Gülle und Silage. Das machte leider keine Lust auf "mehr" vom ländlichen Niedersachsen. Da wären wir lieber noch eine Weile an der Elbe geblieben. Das beigefügte Kartenmateriel erwies sich als wenig hilfreich, da es sehr kleinteilig war, sodass man keinen guten Überblick erhalten konnte.

Hanse Rundtour
Wir wollten die Hotels und den Gepäcktransport Routenvorschlag im Komoot vorbereitet und fast genau so abgefahren Hotels waren Super, Gepäcktransport hat sehr gut funktioniert an allen Tagen war das Gepäck bereits ca. 13:00 im Hotel am letzten Tag erst 16:00Uhr, 17:00Uhr war versprochen, nach Anruf schnelle Auskunft, alles OK Danke an Rückenwind, nächstes Jahr gerne wieder !!!

Sehr schöne Radreise ohne Steigungen mit Stadtfläair aber auch viel Natur
Alle bestens geklappt. Gute Routenbeschreibung, bestens einführt durch Mitarbeiter der Firma Rückenwind. Super Service, Gepäck immer schon vor Ort bei meiner Ankunft. Auf Teil Weserradweg bis Cuxhaven relativ viele Begegnungen mit anderen Radlern. Dann praktisch immer alleine unterwegs durch idyllische Bauerndörfer.
