Itinerary

Visit the centre of the medieval town with its covered arcades, beautiful town houses and the church dating from the 11th to 15th centuries. The hire bikes (if booked) are available for you at the hotel.

Today you will travel to the landing beaches (D-Day Beaches). Military cemeteries and bunkers are still a reminder of that time. And yet the region is not just a place of remembrance. It also attracts visitors to take a walk along the beach.

The route takes you past small fishing villages such as Isigny-sur-Mer to Omaha Beach. Here you will encounter a lot of D-Day history. You then enjoy a beautiful cycle route along the coast to Port-en-Bessin.

Today you will drive through the village of Longuessur-Mer and on to Arromanches. Here you will see the remains of a huge artificial harbour that was built on the orders of Winston Churchill. Then it's off to Courseulles sur Mer. Take some time to stroll through the picturesque fishing harbour.

Sandy beaches, rocks and pretty seaside resorts characterise the flowery coast of Normandy. Cabourg, with its Belle Époque buildings such as the Grand Hôtel, already appealed to Marcel Proust.

You travel through the land of cider to Honfleur. Artists such as Renoir and Monet loved this charming town, which still attracts painters to its harbour today.

Take your time to discover the colourful little villages on your way to Trouville. Trouville itself offers a maritime ambience with plenty to see.

After breakfast, individual return journey or start of your extension.
