They allow you to cycle in a cosy and relaxed manner, but also for sporty and challenging rides.

Together with our partner Velo-de-Ville, who places the same high demands on the quality of the bikes as we do, we are continuously developing the bike technology. One of the most important components is the modern, high-strength aluminium frame, which is relatively light yet very robust. Thanks to good V-brakes, the aluminium hollow chamber rims, a comfortable saddle and the top tyres, even tours on somewhat uneven terrain remain pleasant and safe. It goes without saying that all bikes are roadworthy. For example, the reliable lighting system offers you good visibility on evening rides. The bikes are also equipped for everyday use with a pannier rack and mudguards.
As some of our customers have their own preferences and requirements, our hire bikes are available in different versions. We offer the aluminium frame in four different sizes for people of different heights. You can also opt for a very smooth-running 24-speed derailleur gear from the brand manufacturer Shimano or for a bike with a 7-speed Shimano hub gear suitable for touring and a coaster brake. Whatever you choose: Rückenwind rental bikes offer the best conditions for a great cycling holiday.

The heart of the bike is a modern, high-strength aluminium frame, which we can offer in 4 different sizes to suit everyone. The bikes are fitted with lights, luggage rack, mudguards and a comfortable saddle.
To meet the wishes of our guests even more, we offer our bikes with two different gear shifting systems. A very smooth 24-speed Shimano derrailleur or Shimano 7-gear hub with coaster brake.
E-bike
Our electric bikes are available for original tours of Rückenwind Reisen. Please note that the number of the bikes are limited. The cyclist is supported by an electric motor. You can decide if you would like to have the supporting motor. Small and large hills are so much easier to climb. That means cyclists with different conditions can enjoy bike tours together.
The Rückenwind electric bikes are produced from Velo de Ville . The bikes are equipped with Bosch activeline plus middlemotor and powerful batteries with at least 500 wh for up to 100 kilometres range. The Shimano 8-gear Nexus hub also ensures comfortable cycling.
Our bicycle 30-gear premium bike
We have Premium bikes equipped with hydraulic disc brakes, 30-speed Deore/XT gearshift, suspension fork and seatpost and hydroformed aluminum "hybrid" frame. With the sporty and comfortable premium bikes we offer another option to have the best possible bicycle for every type of cyclist.
We work together with different partner, so rental bikes may differ slightly from our description. You can find out more about this in the price and service section of the individual tour.
These bikes are also based on a Velo de Ville model, which we have adapted to the special requirements of our guests. The particularly high-quality Premium hire bike has a 30-speed Deore/XT derailleur gear system from Shimano. The Japanese manufacturer's Deore/XT group was once developed specifically for mountain bikers, but is also a winner for sporty holiday bikers. The bike with its hydroformed aluminium "hybrid" frame is also suitable for off-road use thanks to the suspension fork and seat post. Like our standard rental bikes, its 28-inch tyres are puncture-proof and equipped with an auto-valve.
