Bike tour along the North Coast
Welcome briefing in the afternoon; afterwards you receive your rental bikes. You have enough time to discover Emden with its harbour.
Enjoy the first ride from Emden to Petkum on beautiful paths. By ferry (not included) you reach the village of Ditzum where you should visit the fish harbor. Along the river Ems you cycle via Jemgum to Leer. Discover the beautiful and old city centre, the picturesque baroque building and the harbor.
You cycle along scores of canals and fens through a landscape with a wonderful charme. You will see picturesque flap bridges, traditional courtyards and the very interesting city Papenburg. Because of the canals Papenburg is called "the Venice of the north" as well. A special attraction in Papenburg is the here based "Meyer Werft" which build cruise liner. The daily stage leads between the Ems and the Dollart through the wide East-Frisian landscape to Emden.

The route
Easy - all routes are completely flat! You cycle mainly on asphalted or plastered country lanes, sometimes on minor roads. This tour is adequate for beginners or bike groups. All ferries are included in the price.
