As a specialized cycling tour operator, we offer unique cycling tours that promise an unforgettable experience. Whether you’re interested in group or self-guided tours, distance or round tours, with or without luggage transport, we’ve got you covered. With a wide selection of countries to choose from—including Germany, France, Austria, the Netherlands, and many more—you’ll find a diverse range of perfectly organized cycling tour options.

With our many years of experience, we are deeply committed to organizing sustainable cycling tours.

Climate change and its consequences are becoming increasingly evident, and as a result, cycling tours are growing in popularity. When planning and organizing new cycling tours, we prioritize sustainability by selecting protected natural areas and hotels and inns that serve regional cuisine.

You can find all of our trips on our website at any time. If you have any questions, we’d be happy to assist you by phone during our business hours or call you back if you’d like. We look forward to planning your next vacation with you.

Traveling sustainably.

Why we're switching to digital travel documents.

Sustainability is important to us—not only when selecting our trips, but equally, if not more so, in all the processes involved in your booking. That’s why we’ve refined our service and now send traditional printed travel documents only upon request and for an additional fee of 20 euros. This allows us to reduce paper consumption, transportation distances, and packaging materials. Together with you, we’re doing our part to protect the environment.

Everything you need, always at your fingertips: the Rückenwind app

Instead of bulky paper folders, all our guests receive access to the Rückenwind app.
It brings together all the relevant information about your trip in one place—clear, up-to-date, and always at your fingertips. From hotel lists and itineraries to tips and important contact information, everything is securely available in digital form.

GPS data for sustainable and easy navigation

As another step toward sustainability, we provide GPS data for your navigation device with every booked cycling tour—free of charge, of course.
We’ll conveniently send you the digital maps via email. You can use the data both on your own device and directly in our Rückenwind app.

A key advantage: The cards can also be used in offline mode. This allows you to avoid roaming charges abroad while remaining flexible and independent of mobile internet.

7 Tips for a sustainable cyclist

1. Climate-friendly travel to and from the event

Short distances, long experiences

For many of the cycling tours we offer, we make sure that your starting hotel is easily and conveniently accessible by public transportation.

We recommend traveling by train whenever possible. It’s an eco-friendly alternative that lets you avoid traffic jams and stress.

We’d also be happy to help you book one of our rental bikes for your desired cycling tour. This way, you won’t have to carry any extra luggage, whether on the train or in/on your car.

2. Less Luggage

The time has finally come—the bike trip is just around the corner!

But what should I pack?

Pack as little as possible. Traveling light is simply better.

The more stuff you bring, the less sustainable your trip will be. Heavy luggage increases fuel consumption and limits your flexibility throughout the entire cycling trip.

The Rückenwind checklist makes planning your trip easier.

3. Environmentally friendly equipment

Do it the way we do!

The equipment on our rental bikes is ethically manufactured. We purchase our handlebar bags and saddle bags exclusively from the sports retailer “Vaude”—our partner when it comes to eco-friendly products for our customers. But it’s not just you who gets to enjoy these great products.

Internally, our on-site tour guides and staff also receive waterproof and breathable Vaude outdoor clothing, which is manufactured in Germany in an environmentally friendly manner.

4. Protect nature

Explore and enjoy

We deliberately choose bike paths that wind through beautiful natural scenery, so you can take in the sights of picturesque landscapes and breathtaking forests.

Some nature areas and monuments are protected.

During your bike rides, please be mindful not to leave any trash behind at picnic areas or rest stops.

The locals care deeply about their culture and homeland, so treating people with kindness is also part of sustainable travel.

5. Visit local restaurants

Think outside the box

If you want to do something good for yourself and the environment, skip the international fast-food chains while on vacation and support local restaurants instead. Here, the focus is exclusively on good, regional food. The small town markets in these areas also offer tasty snacks for those long bike rides.

6. E-biking

If you're looking for a varied cycling trip, you should swap your regular bike for an e-bike. This way, even beginners can cover quite a few miles and won't have to rely on public transportation when they get tired.

7. Experience a vacation in your own country

Why do we always have to travel far away?

Vacations in your own country can be so beautiful and full of experiences.

Whether it’s a city break or a trip to a region with plenty of scenic countryside—there are countless opportunities to discover the little things right here at home.
