Itinerary

The Danish capital has a lot to offer. An early arrival is highly recommended. Take a stroll through the medieval city center or visit the famous Tivoli. In the evening you will have a personal welcome meeting and bike fitting.

The first cycle stage will lead along the so-called Køge bay, with outstanding views to the Baltic Sea. The national park Amager Fælled is absolutely free of traffic and its scenic landscape will impress you. For those who are interested in art we recommend to visit Arken Museum of Modern Art.

Køge belongs to one of the oldest cities of Denmark and is located directly on the coast. The white sand beaches invite for a jump into the cool water for a refresh.

Today it's time to say goodbye to the coast. The route takes you inland, crossing southern Zealand. You will be accompanied by a beautiful green landscape with extensive meadows and forests. The medieval townscape of Næstved with its old town houses invites you to take a stroll. Or you can take a short trip to the Rococo castle of Gavnø.

Continue westward toward the Great Belt. Soon you will reach the small coastal town of Karrebæksminde. The beautiful sandy beach at Enø is perfect for sunbathing. Following the coastline for part of the way, you will eventually pass through the port town of Skælskør and arrive at today's destination, Korsør. This cozy port town offers a diverse and lively cultural scene.

Today, you will once again be accompanied by green meadows and charming little villages. Passing Ledreborg Castle near Lejre and Roskilde Bay, you will reach the city of the same name. Even from a distance, Roskilde Cathedral welcomes you. Since the beginning of the 15th century, the cathedral has been the preferred burial place of the Danish royal family and has also been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995. The Viking Ship Museum is also well worth a visit.

Today´s stage leads you back to the starting point of your bike tour, the Danish capital Copenhagen. From Albertslund you have access to the high-speed cycle route number C99, which leads you almost without traffic into the city center.

In the afternoon there is enough time for you to explore the city on your own. During a stroll, you can fulfil all the wonderful impressions that you have already gained on your bike tour through East Zealand.

After breakfast, your journey ends. We are happy to book an extension stay for you to explore the Danish capital.
