Itinerary

Individual journey to Enkhuizen. Embarkation in the afternoon. Perhaps you still have time for a first short walk through the pretty historic harbour town with its charming old town.

Today you get to know the pretty harbour town on the shores of the IJsselmeer and its beautiful surroundings. The rich history of the town can still be experienced on a walk through the old town with its numerous villas, canals, churches, town walls and harbours. Tip: A visit to the Zuiderzee Museum is highly recommended.
Zuiderzee Museum.
If you would like to make a day trip to Amsterdam: Enkhuizen railway station is within walking distance of the berth. Train connections to Amsterdam and back every 30 minutes. Journey time approx. 1 h (train ticket not included).

Morning boat trip across the IJsselmeer to Lemmer with its historic old town and pretty gabled houses. Start of the cycle tour: Via Oosterzee Buren to the Tjeukemeer and via Munnekeburen, Scherpenzeel and Schoterzijl back to Lemmer. Tip: Visit the world's largest steam bailer still in operation, "Woudagemaal".

By bike to Sondeler Leien Lake, from there through the Rijsterbos forest area, past the Mokkebank (bird reserve) to Roode Klif in Stavoren. From there a boat trip to Oudeschild to the island of Texel.

Cycle round trip on the largest Dutch North Sea island Texel. Different routes approx. 29/32/47/70 km are available. Around 5:30 pm boat trip to Den Helder.

In the morning you cycle through the dunes to Alkmaar. You have the option to get back on the boat in St. Maartensvlotbrug and cycle to Alkmaar or to start the cycle tour in St. Maartensvlotbrug.

From Wormerveer you start in the morning to the open-air museum Zaanse Schans (windmills, old Dutch village, cheese-ri and much more). Then you continue towards Volendam. Shortly before, you have the opportunity to visit a cheese dairy in Katwoude. Here you can see how Gouda cheese and the traditional Dutch clogs are made. Via Volendam, known as a traditional fishing village with typical authentic houses, you cycle to Hoorn. You should take some time for a short visit to the historic old town with its many 17th century buildings (e.g. the harbour tower or the warehouses on the old quay).

Early morning boat trip to Enkhuizen. Arrival around 08:00 hrs. Disembarkation and departure by 09:00.
