On this cycle tour you will discover a traditional and picturesque Alsace and the German side of the Rhine with the vineyards in the region of Kaiserstuhl. More than 2500 km of cycle paths await your visit and will take you from Colmar to Strasbourg and beyond, through famous wine-growing villages.

Itinerary

Arrival in Freiburg, check in at the hotel and opportunity for free sightseeing.

The imposing 13th century Breisach Cathedral towers over the bank of the Rhine. You will cross the Rhine there to Neuf-Brisach in Alsace, a 17th century, octagonal fortified town. The day ends wonderfully in beautiful Colmar, one of the most delightful cities on the Alsace Wine Route.

You will travel through the landscapes and villages of the Alsatian Ried, rich in aquatic flora and fauna. Arrival in Colmar the capital of the wine of Alsace and the town of art, by the cycle track of the channel of Colmar.

In Rosheim, Alsatian Romanesque architectecture reaches a high point. In Molsheim, you leave the vineyards behind and follow the beautiful cycle path alongside the Canal de la Bruche to Strasbourg.

An easy and flat stage. You leave Strasbourg on the cycle path by the deep forests along the Rhine bank.

A somewhat long but very flat stage. Without difficulty, you ride through the villages to the art city of Freiburg.

easy - medium: You will ride mainly on cycle paths, on minor agricultural tarred roads or on little secondary roads without much traffic. Days 3, 5 and 6 are a little bit hilly.
