Bremen-Kiel

Individual arrival to Bremen by late afternoon. Information meeting and bike handover (if booked). Experience the Schlachte gastro and promenade in the evening.

Today, the Weser cycle path and the Blexen ferry will take you to Bremerhaven with its Havenwelten Bremerhaven, which includes the German Maritime Museum. Your route leads along the Weser or takes a more direct route. 

You cycle through the countryside between Bremerhaven and Cuxhaven with its wide plains, villages and marshes. At the end, you reach Cuxhaven on the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site.

In the district of Cuxhaven, traditional seaside resorts invite you to swim in the sea, while heath and marshes characterise the land behind the dykes. The Elbe ferry (price not included) takes you across the river. You will spend the night in Glückstadt.

Today you cycle to Brokdorf with its beautiful Elbe beach and to Brunsbüttel at the mouth of the Kiel Canal into the Elbe. In addition to the mighty locks, the old town centre is well worth a visit.

You come to Rendsburg with its interesting buildings such as the Old Town Hall and the Rendsburg High Bridge. The longest bench in Europe invites you to take a break on the Kiel Canal.

Travel along the charming canal route to Kiel. Enjoy the maritime atmosphere of the city, whose Schwedenkai and Norwegenkai quays are a gateway to Scandinavia.

After breakfast, individual return journey or start of your extension.
