The Werratal cycle trail runs mainly on traffic-free cycle paths and farm tracks (unpaved in places) or on roads with little traffic. There are only slight differences in altitude to overcome.

Parking
- Parking available at the starting hotel (free and paid, subject to availability). No reservations possible, payable on site.
Arrival / departure
- Good journey by train to Meiningen.
- Return transfer (Saturdays only, available for 2 or more people) by minibus possible, duration approx. 3 hours, price € 119 per person. We charge € 45,- extra for the return transport of your own bike. Booking required.
You will stay in well-kept hotels, mainly in the 3- and 4-star category, as well as guesthouses. All rooms have a shower/WC or bath/WC.
