Your personal tour information and handing over of the bicycles (if booked) is in the evening. We recommend a little stroll through the medieval centre of Hann. Münden with the historic half timbered houses of the Weser Renaissance is very interesting. You will love the splendid old houses. One overnight in Hann. Münden.

Along the Fulda River to the ‘capital of the German Fairy Tale Route’: Kassel. This city is an experience not only during the famous Documenta world art exhibition. An extraordinary museum landscape, the Karlsaue State Park and the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe with its imposing castle and Hercules statue also offer plenty of entertainment at other times of the year. Overnight stay in Kassel.

Enjoy a relaxing bike ride along the Fulda River to Melsungen. This historic half-timbered town is over 1,000 years old. You will love the flower-filled narrow streets, the Landgrave Castle, the Romanesque-Gothic town church and the idyllic market square. Overnight stay in Melsungen.

Today you follow the river to Rotenburg a. d. Fulda which is in the northern part of Hessen. Experience 750 years of history!

Through the charming low mountain range between Fulda and Werra to Eschwege. Many of the houses in this half-timbered town lean slightly, which only adds to their character. Pay attention to the details: the residents have decorated their houses with great care. Overnight stay in Eschwege.

A relaxed cycle tour today takes you along the Werra to the half-timbered town of Bad Sooden-Allendorf. Nestled in the gentle low mountain landscape of the Hohe Meißner, you will find a fairytale idyll of half-timbered houses, dense forests with hiking trails, cosy restaurants and modern wellness facilities. Brine and salt are good for the body, especially for muscles, respiratory tract and joints.

On the 6-day trip, there is no overnight stay in Bad Sooden-Allendorf and you cycle directly from Eschwege to Hann. Münden. There is no further overnight stay in Hann. Münden, but we are happy to book additional nights for you if you wish.

The cycle trails mainly run on low-traffic roads or traffic-free, tarmac cycle paths and farm tracks. There are approx. 200 metres in altitude between Bebra and Sontra, otherwise only slight differences in altitude to overcome. It is possible to bridge the gap between Bebra and Sontra by train (station not barrier-free, not included).
